v1.2.09155 coming up - please post any issues/features you expect to be fixed/included

About to drop the build, but as this is likely to be the last build with new features for some time I wanted to make sure I've got everything covered. So if you are waiting for a feature to be included or a bug to be fixed, please feel free to post a quick reminder here - even if I have already said it's done or is being worked on.

As the TV season is over for most people, for now, I will be spending time on other projects to help pay the bills :) For example there should be a public 'trial' of the myDVD backend available soon.

Now Playing Pivot - You were planning on moving this to the popup. Is this still happening? If not, it still doesn't show up unless you enter myTV while something is playing.

being an anime fan means that the tv season never stops :P

oh and as far as feature requests are concerned, absolute numbering. if i think of something else ill let ya know, but thats the one that pops in my head first.

(currently running the second newest version)
I tested this toda on a few new Bleach (194 to 196 by DB)
One ended up in S01E60, another as S9E01 and the third somewhere else.
Can you set it to ignore the nubmers in brackets? You know [DB]_Bleach_195_[B9E1F112].avi
Mytv read that 9E1 in there as episode 1 of S9.
I rather not rename every ep as they come out.

1. Remove from utorrent
2. Remote desktop to server
3..Move to other folder. (Often get issues with doubles if I just rename)
4. Rename
5. Move back to folder

This has another drawback besides being messy. I also can't seed my new eps after I've done this.

I am getting that 20-30 second startup delay recently when first launching myTV but haven't really investigated properly to give you a definitive "bug report" (can if you want ... but I am a patient soul so doesn't bother me too much )

"a debug idiot mode" for when I do stupid things like point to the local folder on my server and duplicate all my shows so I can see which show to delete from the series selection screen (i.e. showing the folder path on series and seasons, filepath on episodes)

I have had this error too. The delay is now down to about 5 - 10 seconds now (it varies).

I have had this error too. The delay is now down to about 5 - 10 seconds now (it varies).

This is almost certainly not myTV related but more so to do with SQL Express or how your system is otherwise configured. Could be the database is not running when you start myTV, could be the DB is fragmented, could be that your media is stored on a WHS (or certain other types of network storage) and you have not disabled the "Check for new/missing..." setting, could be that the service is not running when you start myTV (which means the service has to start before myTV can communicate with it, which in turn adds a few seconds).

Of course, if you can find a way to consistently repro the behavior without any of the above factors playing a role - let me know and I'll find a fix.

As for everything else;

• The "Now Playing" viewport had completely slipped my mind. Working on getting that sorted now. Have it included in the popup, just need to figure out a way to enable/disable it depending on if something is actually playing (and that something being a video).
• Absolute numbering (as well as other schemes) is noted but I'm holding off on it until we move TheTVDB over to the new structure as that should allow for a variety of different schemes.
• New Episodes screen is sorted.
• Add Shows - go back when empty had also slipped the radar, will get to that soon though.
• New UI.. Still working on this, it's a real pain to code without being able to see it in use during development which is why it's taken the back seat for a while.
• Bleach filenames - in short, no. However, those files are using the absolute numbering scheme anyhow so once that's fully working it will no longer recognize other numbering schemes. In the filename you mentioned it should work fine picking up as 195, however if the filename was [DB]_[B9E1F112]_Bleach_195.avi it would be picked up as 112. I'm guessing there is some finetuning to be done, but we'll cross that bridge when we get to it.
• Debug idiot mode - lol. Well, the easiest way to sort something like that out is by using sqlcmd running a query like DELETE FROM [tvseries|tvepisodes] WHERE Location LIKE 'D:\Video%'.

So there's a few things I've completely missed, but I'll have it all done fairly soon. May be that I'll get another interim build out in the meantime, will see during tomorrow.

Hi, With Transparency turned on, the Season selection screen is still blue. There may be other screens where transparency doesn't take effect.

Fixed the season selection screen, should you see it happen on other screens let me know though.

I run the newest version, but the tracking of watched series doesnt seem to work everytime. When choose the series "Numb3rs" from the main menu the 1. season is highligted eventhou I have unwatched eps in season 5 (and none in season 1). I then manually choose Season 5 and when I enter season 5, I'm at Ep1 instead of the first unwatched ep. It works in some series but not on all...

Hope You have a hint or a fix for this :)

The season selection should be fixed again, the episode selection is still sort of iffy with no resolution is sight as the code used is the exact same as for the season selection (which seems to always work - apart from the recent bug which rendered it useless that is).

Don't get me started on that again. Not fixed, tried a few ways to get around it but not found one that is working reliably every time, so for now you'll have to stay with Vista (or live with the security dialog).
