• Re: More Info on my TV

It's been a while since I've used Vista, but as far as I remember, myTV uses its own strip even in that. I know for a fact it does in 7 as well.

Oh, yeah, wouldn't expect any differently, just was clarifying a bit. Definitely didn't mess everything up like lyle said, that's for sure.

For me, while the server was down, myTV loaded new episodes fine, just without any metadata (of course). It didn't add new shows, however (I'd put the series.id files into the folder, don't know if it acts differently the other way). But today, everything has metadata and all my shows are loaded.

  • Re: TheTVDB down

It was semi-working for me earlier, but a couple of my episodes ended up with no data for them, a new show I added hasn't appeared yet, and in trying to give a show a rating, the banner disappeared and went back to the built-in one (and I couldn't download any of the other banners either).

Personally, I find that it doesn't do enough extra above and beyond the standard Movie Library built into 7. It only looks slightly better than Movie Library, and just doesn't seem like much of an improvement. I've tried Media Browser and a few other things, but I don't like any of them enough to switch from Movie Library.

  • Re: Run MyTV server part on Windows Home server?
Any word on the ability to run the service on WHS? I've been scouring the forums and have read mentions of how to get this to work, but can't find any instructions. Otherwise, I just keep seeing people mentioning this ability in the next build, but am not sure what that build is or when it will be released. I've
I now have the RTM installed on my HTPC. still trying to get myTV installed (permissions issue. I'll have it installled shorly). However, what gets to me is that none of the product keys that MSFT technet has given me are actually working!!! they are all being rejected, so basically I have 30 days to use it then

  • Re: v1.2.09155 coming up - please post any issues/features you expect to be fixed/included
Not sure about the Linksys extenders, but I'm guessing they will work just fine (or rather, as fine as they ever have). Unless you've actually already invested in extenders you should really look into some of the Intel Atom/Nvidia ION motherboards though - for roughly the same cost as a "good" extender

  • Re: Windows 7 RTM confirmed for July 13th
Also worth noting is that you only get (I believe) one Ultimate license, which means the two other boxes need to run Home Premium or Business editions, which may affect you if you actually utilize the Ultimate "features" on all computers. Most people do not though.
Not sure that's the case, I have

$300 sounds like way too much. I got my renewal for around $250, I believe. Should be closer to $200-ish with 40% off. Edit: Oops just saw you're not in the US, never mind.
